Precious Moments - Courage

Just after the New year  a fb friend asked in her post if we had chosen our One Little Word yet?  This got me thinking, as I had already decided that in 2013 I was going to take some bold steps.  My pondering got me to the word 'courage' - I have always feared stepping out into the unknown and have decided this must change... I turn 50 in a couple of years and my bucket list has nothing ticked off!! As if to confirm I have chosen the right word, my sister posted the above picture on her fb wall and today, in church, a friend gave me a dog tag (that she had bought a month ago) with the word 'COURAGE' and the same verse!! Coincidence... No...I do not believe there are coincidences only divine appointments, so it is confirmed, courage is my word.

I had to learn some tough lessons in 2012 and I would like to think that I have learnt from them.  2012 was the end of a era and I feel that I had to put many things behind me, the trauma of losing my Mum, I still miss her but the intense grief is past, undergoing a prophylactic double mastectomy and changing countries were all stepping stones on the journey to where I am now, Getting to this point has taken 5 years, so now I am ready to take on some new challenges.  I have been blessed to be able to fulfill my passions by working in the creative  industry and my dream now, is to not only to grow creatively and reach new heights, but to share and ignite creativity in others.

I went to Norton Junior School when Dudley Hall was the headmaster. It was on the site of a Second World War Air Force Training School and the school motto was Courage.
