Mothers Day

God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers - Jewish proverb This year, Mother's Day will be a bittersweet one for me, my daughter is in Cape Town and in the middle of a "lemony snicket's a series of unfortuate events " she will probably forget what tomorrow is, I will forgive her (this year only - after that there may be penaltities), my son, well, what can I say.... My Mum has been gone a number of years now and while I was blessed to spend her final Mother's Day with her, she left us the following Sunday.  My Mum had such a pivotal role in my life, she was always there with good advice, support and she was my best friend, this all sounds so very cliche, but it was true, I had to do so much growing up and suddenly had to make my own decisions, this was possibly not a bad thing, I still find myself wanting to share with her though, and now speak to her in my thoughts .
On a scrapbooking note , I am in the process in designing 4 pages which just need photos and final touches.
So watch this space, there are some awesome new designers over at Lets Scrap . http://letsscrap.ning.com/ Our amazing South African girls have two spots , one of which is Rene Sharp who lives in the beautiful KZN pop along to her blog and see her inspiration http://www.stampinginsunnysa.blogspot.com/.  the other is Bev MacDonald and her blog is at http://scrapnforfun.blogspot.com/.  Pop along and soak in their inspiration.

To all the mothers, may you have a blessed and spoilt Mother's Day,

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.  ~Washington Irving http://www.quotegarden.com/

until next time....be creative
